KORODUR 0/4 - Surface Hardener

History
Over 2 Billion square feet of KORODUR has been installed world-wide in commercial and industrial buildings. Industrial floors with the proven KORODUR materials can be found in nearly all fields of industry especially where such floors are to be subjected to extremely high loads, both statistically and dynamically.

Specializing to solve problems in the industrial flooring sector, future development work and the maintaining of high quality are the most important preconditions. KORODUR has become a synonym for quality and reliability.

Today, KORODUR is the name that means the most in Industrial Flooring Technology.

KORODUR 0/4
Dry-shake, mineral-aggregate surface hardener.

[FrontPage Save Results Component]

Description

KORODUR 0/4 is a ready-to-use, dry shake surface hardener which - when evenly distributed and finished over freshly floated concrete - greatly improves the wear resistance of concrete floors.

KORODUR 0/4 is composed of hard aggregates produced from high grade components including quartz and extremely hard byproducts from electro-metallurigical smelting processes and portland cement. This special mixture (0-4mm) guarantees outstanding tensile and compressive strength values and very favorable wearing properties to industrial floors.

Field Service

KORODUR recommends that the user consults with the local distributor for pre-job conferences and to plan proper quantities/products for installations.

Warranty

KORODUR 0/4 materials are guaranteed for quantity and quality of the sizing (0-4mm) of aggregates to ensure the proper build-up of aggregates which guarantees greatly improved surface hardness of plain concrete.

Areas of Application

KORODUR 0/4 is used for Indoor and Outdoor concrete floor installations requiring increased wear resistance, such as:

Commercial and Institutional floors.

Food processing/storage, sewage and water treatment plants.

Hospitals, parking garages, schools, shopping centers, sidewalks and theaters.

Areas that are frequently or continually wet.

When heavy-duty or steel wheeled traffic is anticipated, a KORODUR Topping is recommended.

Where Not To Use

On areas exposed to acids, their salts or to other materials known to attack or deteriorate portland cement.

NOTE: When additional abrasion resistance, resistance to struck sparks or energy-saving light reflectivity is required, contact Margia Floors, Inc. (U.S. Distributor) for information on the KORODUR products.

Packaging
KORODUR 0/4 surface hardener, premixed with portland cement, is packaged in 55 lb (25 kg) moisture resistant bags. Shelf life is unlimited.

Features & Benefits

Abrasion resistance is 250% greater than plain concrete.

Greatly reduces surface wear, which lowers repair cost.

Properly sized and graded aggregate is strictly controlled to provide consistent finishing characteristics and uniformity.

Impact resistance is at least 2.5 times that of plain concrete.
