Aqua-Prime
Water based - Epoxy Curing/Primer

Product Description:
Corro Aqua-Prime is a solvent free epoxy primer designed to seal porous surfaces.  It is specifically formulated to be diluted with water and has virtually no odor, making it ideal as a sealer/primer for concrete floors in food, beverage and pharmaceutical plants.

With is unique formula, which includes special adhesion and wetting promoters, it deep penetrates and tenaciously adheres to both dry as well as damp concrete.

Application:
Corro Aqua-Prime can be used on old eroded concrete or on floors that have been mechanically abraded as well as floors that have existing sealers.  By priming the concrete this will help to seal the surface preventing any outgassing which could create blisters in the top protective layer.  Priming is also recommended to help seal the "open" concrete to reduce  the absorption of the epoxy liquids eliminating "dry" spots.  Green concrete can also be primed within 24 hours of being poured, allowing for an epoxy finish to be applied thereafter, eliminating the 28 day cure requirements.

Coverage:
Corro Aqua-Prime coverage is dependant on surface texture with the average rate of 300 square feet per gallon.  This gallon does not include the water that is added, i.e., a one gallon pak of primer will have approximately one half gallon of water added giving a one and a half gallon mix, however, coverage is still only 300 square feet for the mix.   For green concrete, apply the primer to the concrete at a 100 square feet per gallon.

Packaging:
Corro Aqua-Prime is supplied in either one gallon packs, three gallon packs or in drum packs.  The gallon and three gallon packs are supplied as pre-measured packs.

The drum packs, however, are to be measured out.  Measuring is easy because CorroAqua-Prime is supplied in a user friendly mix ratio of 1:3 by volume of Part A to Part B to which is added 50% water by vloume.

Precautions:
Avoid contact with liquids as they may cause skin irritation after prolonged use.   Wear protective gloves and clothing, and practicing good hygiene is necessary.   Please read the Materia Saftey Data Sheets before using this product.

Mixing:
Mix Part A and Part B together with a drill fitted with a blade that is at least 3" in diameter.  During mixing, the liquids will take on a "milky" appearance.   Mix the liquids for about one minute or until a homogenous mix is obtained (no streaks), and then add 50% water by volume.  Continue mixing until the mix is uniform.  The use of warm water will help in the mixing.  Do not overmix as teh potlife will be reduced.  Mixing should be long enough to produce a uniform consistancy.
Note: Add water slowly when mixing.  If the water is added too quick teh mix will become "stringy".

Technical Assistance:
With a combined total of over 180 years experience, our management team can offer unequalled design details to concrete and epoxy floors as well as installation techniques and materials designed to meet your requirements.  We are prepared to assist in training your own maintenance crew in the installation of our products.

Clean-Up:
Corro Aqua-Prime while still wet can be cleaned with water.  Warm, soapy water provides the best cleaning solution.  When dry, the primer can only be removed by mechanical means or special paint stripper.
